FESTAL HYMN TO THE THEOTOKOS - (Zadostoynik) - A hymn in honor of the Theotokos sung at the Divine Liturgy in place of "It is truly" on the twelve great feasts and certain other feasts. Usually the ninth heirmos of the festal kanon is used for this purpose. The Liturgy of St. Basil the Great has its own special Festal Hymn to the Theotokos, "All creation rejoices in You."

The Sayings of the Fathers

Observe your thoughts, and beware of what you have in your heart and your spirit, knowing that the demons put ideas into you so as to corrupt your soul by making it think of that which is not right, in order to turn your spirit from the consideration of your sins and of God.
