INTERCESSION - Supplication to God in behalf of another person. Christ intercedes before God the Father in behalf of the repentant sinner, and God's people intercede for one another (Is. 53:12; Jer. 27:18; Rom. 8:34).
 

The Sayings of the Fathers

If the soul is vigilant and withdraws from all distraction and abandons its own will, then the spirit of God invades it and it can conceive because it is free to do so.
